Contrary to BlackHawk belief,
donations to war castles during war are not in fact included on the regular donations tally. Needles to say, I agree that since clan wars started, reaching donation requirements have become slightly more difficult -- but not impossible.One factor at play is that during war, we tend not to engage in regular battles as often. That said, there are less requests and less available opportunities to donate. A second factor responsible for the decline in requests is our recently tighter "closed door policy" and the increased pruning of membership do to non-compliance during war efforts. When we had the revolving door, it was noisy as hell but requests were flying all day long. Now that we have a tighter group, high periods of chat activity/requests are limited to certain windows during the day and not everyone has the opportunity to contribute during those times.
So yes, its become harder to reach the numbers we have requested for elder but as we increase our recruiting efforts and main channel membership, this will change. In the meantime, we will remain firm on requirements to "earn" elder, but will exercise flexibility in weekly donations to keep the title. If you are active, contribute to the chat, and make SOME sort of reasonable troop donation effort (50-100), your "elder" status should be just fine.
One last point, some of our leaders have started moving between our different feeders to assist-and others have begun to show curiosity and jump back and forth as well. I haven't put much thought into how this ultimately effects things, but I think its cool to have more than one option so you can mix it up a bit, so for now I wont comment as to whether or not I actually encourage this. If you do decide to hop to and from our feeders, please use common sense. Make sure someone knows you are going and will accept you on the way back in (NOTE: you must have elder status to accept). Please make a general announcement in the chat so folks don't get confused/concerned about your intentions. If they think you are just "Hopping" and don't know you are actually "visiting" our other clans, you might be rejected on your return, which in turn will then require an invite in order to return. You can see how you can quickly find yourself locked out with no way to tell anyone. If this should happen, PLEASE REQUEST AN INVITE using the forum.
Also note, each time you leave your donation count is reset.. If you are not regularly talkative/active this might not be a good idea. If you are quiet, AND you show low/no donations due to a recent hop, you may be mistaken as a non-active or low-performing member and wind up on a cut list.
So bottom line.. do your best to contribute to the community one way or another (donations, chatroom, forum, etc.), and you will most likely NOT get demoted for lack of dotation's.
